I use to twist the connection wires of pickups to get less hum. What would be the sense of making a humbucker, be it flat or not, and then spoiling the signal by exposed unprotected wires?

Are those loose wires from pickups protected by strong believes alone?

  • Straight wire in any circuit can act like an antenna , especially on the input.

So twisted wire on the input of a circuit is to reduce the effect of unwanted signals in the environment.

Twisted pairs in the circuit, or in the output circuit are to reduce radiating signals that are unwanted.

Did I answer anything or make it more confusing?  You make very nice pickups, by the way.
