what type solder is good to use?

Trying my hand at soldering,what type solder should I be using? 60/40 etc. flux,no flux ? any sugestions would be a big help. thanks

The cheapest one in the store works fine. Silver solder has a higher melting point and therefore a beefier solder iron

60/40 is fine but make sure you are using rosin core.

No acid flux.
