What's that noise?

Hello everybody.  Brand new here.  I live in Pittsburgh and am preparing for my first cbg build, and these forums have proved to be extremely informative and helpful.  Anyway, whenever I get on this site and start looking around sometimes I keep hearing this beeping (sort of) sound.  I can't figure it out.  What is that noise?
