War Time CBG

Hi all, I thought I would post some photos of an ongoing experiment to get better tone and volume from my limited edition ANZAC biscuit tin guitars, without the pickup in action. Earlier ones were just built using the tin [they sounded tinny] no pun intended. So this one I thought I would try a wood box with the ANZAC lid on top, but not touching the wood top. The adjustable bridge sits on the wood top not the tin.

I improved the volume a lot but the tone has not got the fullness/depth of my pure wood box builds of the same size, but it is better. The tone is better than the all tin model.

Due to the scale length the bridge does not fall on the ideal sweet spot on the top, so that'll be the next improvement. I still have a couple of tins left.

It has two piezo's inside and one tone at the moment.

The all tin model is the last photo.

Enjoy Taff
