Ray Nutter of St. Augestine, FL is a giant in the founding of the modern cigar box guitar movement, but his instrument of choice is actually a washboard...  a super sized, insane washboard!  Nutter's creations have been known to contain several cymbals, multiple wood blocks and always more cowbells.  He's also a fantastic player who approaches the homespun percussion in a very prog-rock method.

  • Ray Nutter?? I know this guy as Uncle Ray.,,.I used to play open mike nights at his Bar in Hinton WV back in 2006 and 2007.,.,even joined him for a few tunes.,,.great drummer and washboard player.,.,Looks like he made it to FL.,.,.
