Tuner Hole Save

Thought I'd share a goof up that ended up with an easy save. I am working on a build using the cheap tuners you can see in the picture. Through some bad layout skills the angled tuner is opposite the angle of the headstock and as you can see the upper screw hole sticks out. After many bad words I starting looking for a solution, I know the tuner shouldn't be reversed as the string won't pull the gears together and probably will strip so I thought I can't just switch the right and left tuner. Then I realized I could use the tuner from the right side if I took it apart and flip the tuner key to the other side. (that is the tuner in the picture that is not attached) Now the angle matches the headstock and I don't have to figure out how to plug the hole.

This also would help if you find yourself with a few leftover tuners and need them on the other side of the headstock.

Toms link shows exactly what I did. I took it apart over the open box to catch the little pieces.
