Most of you know that a group of builders have been donating instruments to military service members. If you are not a builder, but would like to participate in this program, there are other things that these military folks could use.

Most guitar related accessories are not readily available in foxholes or military hospitals. So they could use strings, picks, straps, or anything that might come in handy for playing.

For example, I found a used Danelectro Honeytone on sale on eBay for ten bucks, so I scooped it up and shipped it off to Camp Bastion Hospital.

Most of this stuff is pretty inexpensive, and it doesn't take much to buy some strings, stick them in a padded envelope and drop it off at the post office.

If anyone feels like they would like to participate, please post in the CBGs for Soldiers area, or contact me or Diane in Chicago and we will make arrangements to see that your items are delivered.

Thanks

  • We still have opportunities for builders to donate one of their instruments, and there is still time to get a CBG to a service member before Christmas.

Please join the group and reply if you are able to help out.

    Thanks

      • Just post your availability in the CBGs For Service Members group and watch for any service members who post looking for an instrument.

        Thanks

Wow... I have a PickPunch and a ton of pick making material.  I could easily make 200 picks to contribute.
