  • Hi Hooch, I'm all for getting the most out of my machines. While this idea works I would keep in mind the speed difference of a disc sander at 1450rpm and 10" table saw at 3450rpm. I would be closing that opening around the disc to close to zero.  Just a thought. I started out with a shop made disc sander, but with its own motor.

    • I agree 100% with you Taff! Even with Baltic birch plywood I'd be afraid of it! I have an old tile saw( el cheapo) that I think will do the job. Haven't checked speed yet but if it's too fast, I do have a motor off a bandsaw that will do the trick. I'm definitely not in the mood to be picking wood shrapnel from my forehead!
