The casing for a P90 is either soap bar (as in that auction) or dogear. They're the same pickup inside, it's just the outer casing that's different. Soap bar typically mounts in a hole (see P90 LP's) while dogear mounts on the body (see LP Jr, Casino).
One nice thing about a P90 is that the casing is flexible because it's a simple pickup. You can fit P90's into unexpected casings, like a small tin, and have a real stealth blues/rock machine.

Yeah my lap slides have P90 style PU's and there are 2 different types.1 I have the PU is screwed directly into the body,and the other has a ring.
Those are really cool looking PU'd tho.
