I've now built four CBG;s (two 3-string fretless, one 3-string fretted and a fretted 4-stringer). This, of course, doesn't include the Hello Kitty lunch pale 3-stringer for my grand baby.
Now, here's my question, how would a CBG with a metal resonator sound different from the boxes I've already built? I've seen 3-stringers built with stainless dog dishes for resonators as well as large tin can lids and other metal objects.
So, what do they sound like? any YouTube suggestions?
In case it isn't obvious, I'm itching to build something new.
Thanks
Tom T

It will probably sound similar to your lunch pail build.
Thanks Rob.
That is about what I was expecting. The Hello Kitty pale is pretty thin sheet metal but I get the idea. I wondered how the thicker stainless steel dog dish differed in sound.
Bottom line, I think I now have an excuse to start another build.

Alu-bodied reso, made by me, played full tilt by Hollowbelly. Despite the overdrive on the amp, there's still a good bit of the metallic reso tone coming thru' the mix. Buten und Binnen TV, Bremen, Germany.
Sounds great! Pretty mellow for an aluminum body. Thanks for posting it
It looks like a DAZ washing powder advert, but sounds great !...
