Shaping the lid
I recently made a cbg where I took the top off and cut and painted it to look like a telecaster. I think it looks pretty cool. It has an under bridge piezo rod for a pick up. The fake pick ups are a piece of shaped aluminum and a piece of painted wood. Pick guard is a popcorn container from the dollar store. Has anyone else cut their top to some crazy shape? I'd love to see what others have done with their tops.

It took me a second to realize that the bottom of the box was still there. The contrast between the black and the blue hides it really well.

I got the idea from this site I think. Someone posted a pic of a guitar shaped like a diamond, and the corners were the sound holes. Maybe I should use a longer neck next time :)
