Nice presentation Shane. I had never heard of the Pechakucha style of delivery before.

At first I thought it was a TED talk, really good!

this ought to be on TED.com!

inspiring!! This should be on the front page of the site. People should hear the story. I was lucky enough to converse with Boz way back in the day. I have a drawing he sent me that I treasure. This is the story of how we all come to be here. The creation myth if you will. Shane, you are unique in that you have always wanted to share what you have. You taught how to build rather than try to sell us one. You found other peoples music and videos and featured it to show the whole world how unique the instrument is, rather than just try to sell us your cds or just your band. You featured an early video of mine and then went on to put out the first Jerusalem mules cd! You continue to inspire and offer freely all you have. Building tips marketing strategy and how to play videos are only a small part of what you continue to offer all for nothing. Some days I am made sad by the idea that most people share only their surplus, if I have 2 you can have 1. Shane Speal does not share his surplus, he shares all he has. He shares his heart

I guess everyone has a story to tell . I love CBN ,thanks Shane, but have always disliked titles like "King of" , "Godfather of" etc. All the same, I really enjoyed hearing your story . Thanks for sharing :-)

It's tongue-in-cheek.  Trust me.  I ain't no king...

Yes ,Sorry Shane ,my comment does appear a little rude !   No as soon as I started to watch your presentation it became apparent that the King of the CBG understands humility & Irony ! There really must have been a time when you felt like you were almost alone on the CBG trail and you didn't give up on it. Your tenacity paid off and you have genuine reason to be proud of your achievements.

Thanks Shane for CigarBoxNation.

Agreed!!! Now we need to get a Cigar Box Guitar Festival here in Utah!!!!

Wow! What a great speech! Thank you Shane for your obsession and for your willingness to share. You've provided a lot of fun to a lot of people, whether they build or they marvel at these unusual instruments. I'll tell you, I'm having a blast!
Thanks Shane for your insightful tour of your personal journey into the World of the Cigar Box Guitar. I have only been aware of this movement for about two years now. I am very thankful for the road you have opened for others to join. My love for this instrument is much like yours in the sound.... The sound that you can only get from a CBG!

That is awesome Shane. Love your enthusiasm!!! Thank you for sharing your passion with the world!

Shane, Awesome video! I became aware of the Cigar Box Guitars about 18 months ago and have built about 12 or so. Truly a unique sound. Continue to do what you do!
