I am thinking of making a Resanator CBG but have some questions first.I have a cd tin see attached pics,I was wondering if I need to make holes or grooves in the tin for it to work or do I just put the tin in and put the bridge on top.Any ideas will be very much appresiated. Thank you

  • Ah, I see now. I was thinking you just had the lid resting on the top of the box. You may want to try that out. If you don't like it, then you can always cut the top to sit the whole thing down in there. I was thinking that if you set the lid on top of the box, and just held it in place with string tension, then you may get a little bit more volume because the tin would resonate as well as some vibration transfered to the box top. Maybe you'll get a different sound out of it.

  • I was going to resess the tin so that about a quarter inch shows the rest will be inside.Thanks for the help
