The a build i've just finished has a bolt on neck. I went this route because
I want to slope the neck back about 2 degrees. I used a pair of 3/8's machein bolts to hold the neck in place, and drilled to holes about 1/32 smaller to allow the threads to cut their own path in. Next time im going to insert long hex nuts to insure its stronger.  As long as everthing is tight, there shouldnt be any rattling

I'm torn between building and learning to play! ;-)
