Alright so I've been itchin' to try this out for quite some time but found it to be unconventional but WTH ever! No rules right?!?! Are there any Reggae fans out there? I know I've chatted with Uncle John about this and I've been schoolin' myself on some chords a la ADF# so I'm ready to try it,  Reggae on the CBG. • THE HARDER THEY COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man so awesome for knowing that film. Thats also the first time I heard the title song by Jimmy Cliff which is also amazing. You should join the reggae nation group we got going. Check it out, and let me know if you want any good reccomendations of music I know tons!
  • I am a fan who missed Reggae,...in the 70s missed it completely cause I was into old style music, swing, etc.Have not tried any on the CBG....not truly reggae, but i did do a cover of a song on the uke,...but that would be an interesting genre to try....my only attempt was Johnny Too Bad, (the slickers)...from the soundtrack of great titles..."the harder they come" far from Reggae!:-) still a tribute outa love, for I love the music. you oughta run with it!
  • Ya mon, count me in!
  • Ben no way same here! Its cool cuz it was easy to bust the chords and play the riff too
  • One of the first songs I busted out on my first 3 string was "I Shot The Sheriff."
  • Seems like a perfect fit for a simple 3 or 4 string cbgs. I'm game.
  • Ha! Now thats weird!!

I just started a group here http://www.cigarboxnation.com/group/reggaenation for exactly this.

Im a fan of all music, but reggae has a certain contented charm for me - and for us CBG players its relativly easy to get ya groove on.

Il be posting more CBG reggae vids soon, but in the meantime, check out the Discussions over on the reggae group for some chord progressions
