<p>Mine gets played and as time passes it will show more age. Having just turned 70 myself this year I have no problem with the aging process. It beats the hell out of the alternative.</p>

<p>Here's what I did with a "relic" box. The tax stamp dates the box to 1901. I built it as a diddley bow and left the box as it was with no finish. I figure that it has earned it's rough edges. If you want to keep it "as is" put it on a shelf and don't use it. Otherwise, let it live the life it has had and like a true senior citizen show it's wrinkles proudly. I suppose you could spray a light coat of satin finish lacquer on it, but anything other than the…</p>
