Some folks in Buffalo are trying to organize a porchfest like the ones they do in Ithaca that have over a hundred acts. They've only been at it for one year, and it could use some more people getting involved. It's gonna take place in mid May.
It's perfect for acoustic musicians, cigar box pickers, folkies, etc. If you're anywhere close and feel like donating your time as a performer - please check out the website.
You might help build something neat, meet some cool people, and network with other musicians.

I'm following the FB page for future updates. I would like to play the Oct event, but I coach 4th and 5th grade soccer in the fall. I'm near Saratoga Springs so it is a bit of a ride down the Erie Canal.
Well if it fits into your schedule you can sign up, or wait for the next one. They have one in spring as well. Thanks for the interest.
Another one is going to take place October 4th. Volunteer, perform, or just come watch. The more people involved the better it will be.
