piezo pick ups on cbg amps - no sound

Hi all:

I have several cigar box amps, some I've made using Gitty parts and some purchased from them.  I test the guitars I make with them, some piezo and some mag pu.  The magnetic pickups work great through the cbg amps but there is no sound coming through using the piezo pickups.  Howeverrrrr, the piezo pickups work fine when hooked up to a traditional amp. I checked the wiring and all is well.

Any suggestions?  Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Most likely you need a pre amp to match the impedance better, some amps read piezo's ok, some don't, but i thought the Gitty kits were ok for piezo's, so it might be something else
