Yes, for decal paper you need to spray it with lacquer after it comes out of the printer. Then, you might want to prime the surface with micro-set solvent (see link below). I did not use a heat gun, I just smoothed down the edges with a wet sponge and let it dry.

now that everything has dried out inc lacquer for the last couple of days.

everything has turned out well.

the a4 size is difficult to do with out damaging the picture slightly on the corner .

Thinking of putting the sound hole on the edge's of the box rather than on the front.

heres couple of pictures not finnished yet just waiting for some parts ti finish off.

Here's how I do it. Go ahead and get your pic, lay it down pic side up. spray with clear spray. at least 3 good coats, let dry.  turn the pic over onto the back where there is no paint and dampen with water and rub with your finger till the paper comes off. let it dry good, lay it on where you would like pic side up and spray clear over what ever you are putting it on. works great. I am putting a pin up gal on my next build
