Paging Dr. Silent Jim. . . Paging Dr. Silent Jim. . .
I have a new idea for a Jamateur Collabhut project. I have an instrumental I'm calling Evolution for now and an idea for getting others to add in some riffs based on I V I 3-string tuning to help complete the song and keep it from being too repetitive. I'll post up a video tonight with the starting materials.
Looking forward to another success like our "Time Stands Still on the Burying Ground" project!

Yes, bad finger indeed. Today the blister is healed and hardened over. However, I unwisely stuck a box cutter right through my right hand index finger today. So I'm out of commission for another couple days. Might get a chance to do a little playing when I'm in England next week. Working in St. Neots for a few days.
Ed this any good for drums?
Hey Bug. Nice. That smells like about 120 BPM? Unless I'm tapping out your beat wrong.
I was thinking somewhere in the 60 to 80 window. Probably around 80 as usual, but I sometimes slow it way down and it grooves pretty nicely.
I think a simple drum track to keep everyone about the same tempo is a good idea. However, I was thinking about the project while I had about 6 hours of windshield (windscreen) time today and for the final cut, I'd like to use a street percussion beat. The idea of this song is "what would happen if a bunch of us met on a subway platform and started passing around a riff to play?" Adding foot stomping, cajon percussion, or whatever else would add nicely and be true to the spirit of the collaboration.
Thoughts on that?
Ed Man thats a bad finger
Looking better today. I've found i can finger pick just as good without it.
You didn't take a git with you?! Any chance you can pick up one from Chickenbone John, or the guy with the Tiny Tins shop?
No. And I'm sitting in a house in Kimbolton really wishing I made a different decision yesterday.
