<p>This may be late, but I wouldn't glue any top, since repairs to anything inside, including the electronics will be impossible. I use screws wherever needed. I have only built eight so far, but am "gaining ground".</p>

I would suggest gluing corner blocks to each corner of the box that the lid can screw into. That way you can open to box to make adjustments to the wiring if necessary.<br />
