I've never been very handy, so I am SUPER proud of myself. I finally finished my first creation -- a concert size ukulele! Cigar box uke goodness! I have only hand tools -- no power tools at all -- so it's a bit rustic. But it sounds pretty nice! It's on the quiet side, but very nice. :-) Lots of room for improvement, but it was FUN! Now... what will my next project be?

And it sounds like a looker! ;-) Just kidding. It sounds nice... just quiet, in part because (as was gently pointed out) I might have used a lighter bridge. Live and learn! I'm on my second "learning experience" now. It's fun, mistakes and all!
Awesome work Patty there is a whole bunch of Ukulele nuts here including me.
One thing you might try is a little lighter bridge you might get a little more volume out of it.
