Great instrument Michael. Put some table legs on it and it'll be very stable.

That is a great machine, but in the still picture in the Ted Crocker response, looks like you have wings on your back or some unusual ears. Look at it before you click on the play arrow. LOL

I didn't quite understand where you put the cotton cloth on the strings. Where the wheel rubs or just behing it?

Got my answer, they are in tthe strings where the wheel rubs, I guess you said that in your video also.

Really interesting! I've been thinking about building some sort of hurdy gurdy type instrument. Some of them look so complicated... but yours looks pretty simple. Sounds great too! Nice work.

Me too. I've been researching a bit, looking at Havalena's site. The Japanese guy I mentioned uses a more complicated right-angle geared crank, but it allows him a nice playing position.

Mike, what kind of strings did you use?
