my next build is going to have a licence plate style front .will the peizo pickup work with this or will the metal plate effect the way in which the peizo works?

recently finished this licence plate cbg. placed the piezo on the side and it sounds fine
My last one .....
A custom order going to my best customer. I was a bit concerned by the sound, but this one came out great.
Solid and twangy as heck. I discovered that it is very important to secure the plate to the box SOLIDLY.
And I put the piezo on the bottom of the plate, directly under the bridge.

Been there, done it, etc.
As above, but sounds well trashy with the metal and piezo mix. you may wish to consider an active preamp with eq in there. Condenser mic is good though...
