bought an epiphone electar 10watt valve amp, it's a bit loud for home use, i like it maxed out, to get that overdriven valve sound, heard about a simple & cheap attenuator, a car light bulb in series before the speaker, plus a resistor in parallel with the light bulb, in case the bulb blow's, to save the amp, just wondering if anyone has built/used one, does the amp still sound good,??
