  • thanks for the compliment.I dont know about you guys but I'm always looking to make that EXTRA special guitar,thought I had with this one(olive wood).

    I'm always searching for that ONE! lol I like the sunburst finish but seem that I'm not quite there yet. 

    in second picture that is what sort of finnish I like but how???

    • did this  "bruised apple burst"   by   just painting the middle red and  cardboard shielding  and side spraying the edge  method .

    • There are a some videos showing how to do sunburst type looks, if I remember right they used water based stain.

      I did a fade on a bow one time, just started with a small amount of stain on a cloth and kept starting where I wanted it dark and wiping towards the light area. Wiped in the reverse direction with a clean cloth. Lots of light layers made the transition more even. If you can, mess around with some scraps or whatever is handy.

  • when I made it I wanted to have that worn look,what you see on the neck is not frets but tooth picks glued and rubbed flat.,going to changed that bolt though it doesnt look right.lol
