The fret locations of the guit in the pic are at the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th & 9th frets of the scale, called a Diatonic scale, it basically follows the notes of the Major scale if that helps? You can use any scale length as long as you follow the Diatonic scale fret placement? If the lads have small hands then use a 21”/533mm-23”/584mm scale length, otherwise use a 24”/609mm-25”/635mm fret scale if they’re regular sized? Welcome back & cheers :) </p>
