and I meant crumple the newspaper and fill the box — also works to get the smells out of plastic food containers —

Hi, how about keeping the lid closed? Haha. Only joking. What about leaving the box open and exposed to sunlight?

Spread baking soda inside and close the box for a week or two. Exposure to direct sunlight also works but you run the risk of sparrows pooping in the box.

the weather here in New Mexico has been 85+ and sunshine since April. The rainy season just started. Figures.

In a 90 year old farmhouse mouse poop is a much greater risk. I had to hardware screen my amplifiers after I vacuumed out the pack rat berries.

Haha, I recon your cigar box would smell better than your amp, especially after it warms up.

Just sprinkle some Parfum of choise on the inside ! repeat if wears off !! simple but verry effectif ! fluid works better then airosoles they tend to evaporate more quicly !!
