I use clear liquid nails, put on with a toothpick to the underside. Nice and gelatinous.

I use gorilla glue, just go easy on it cause it expands .

Liquid Nails also has a "general purpose" adhesive that works well / sets relatively fast. It's not clear but used in moderation will stick most anything. Oh yeah, it's cheap and can be found at Wally-World.

i use a hot glue gun unless they fit tight.some drain covers have tabs on them and you can just bend the tabs on the inside of the box to hold them in place. the hot glue gun is real inexpensive and works really well.

Gel super glue works fine. Just don't use to much because if it seeps out from under the ring it's very visible when it dries.

The covers I used had tabs that I bent back, but they rattled. Pulled em back off and used a toothpick to apply small bead of clear caulk under rim, just enough to hold. Working great now.

Hot glue on the inside of the cover will work. I reserve hot glue for ornamental fixes only, not for structure or used for as a substitute for a good wood glue.

So, I got my soundholes drilled out and heavy metal tub drain covers mounted with liquid nails. I'm more than half way done w/ my first CBG!
