I have never used them before, and I am sure I can figure it out, but I am curious how other folks cut the holes for these.

I would drill a hole to get things started, then use a spiral bit in a Dremel router base.

Then you guys just cut the hole out with a Dremel tool?

I made a cardboard template that just does allow for the jack to fit. Then transferred that to the box and cut. Shouldn't be too hard to do. Had to make the template a few times.

I can't speak for others but I took a pcs of paper and copied the rescess part and added about a 1/16 to that for the hole. Next I used some thin plywood to make a jig and also to do a test run ( as to not mess up my good box ) you may need to sand some as the 7 or 8 I have uses are not all exactly the same different suppliers you know. Just my 2 cents
