Last night Mrs. Grandpa and I sat down to do a bit of DVR catch up. During the July 19th episode of "Homestead Rescue", about half-way through the show, Marty Raney pulled out a 5 string gas can canjo, played just a taste, and laughed about the instrument never being shown on air. Hear, hear! It should be on every week!  It is a substantial looking build, and sounds pretty good. At the end of the show, closing credits, he plays it again, just a taste, accompanied by son Matt on mandolin, and daughter Misti on what appears to be a washtub bass. You have to look quick, it's just a snippet...but any of your friends that watch the show may be calling you about this instrument. They might even want one! Made me a bigger fan of a show I already like. Enjoy.
