Had to skip Day 4 of the builds, 3 days straight ruined my back; could barely get out of bed on Day 4, but better now for the moment.

Todays builds are something new for me, both have small, but deep tin bodies, both have 2 strings and have a scale length of 30 inches. The Strings are 74 and 64 gauges from an 8 string set of Ernie Balls and both tuned to E and A. one has a deeper, longer body and is equipped with a Humbucker and the over is not as deep or as long, but it broader and features a single coil.

Here's the thing, I've sat and played them and not sure what they are at this moment, they are both short scale bass and long scale baritone and the sound can't seem to make up its mind, they both sound right in-between bass and mid-range. might be the scale or the strings or the bodies or a combo of them, I don't know. I do know I like them and hope you guys do as well.

  • 230 = 2 strings ....30 inch scale
"brown note" is a very low note that apparently makes you poop your pants .

    • Did you get that one from South Park?

I like the name though, might use it.

  •  the anonymous pick

you might have to explain that one

  • call em . 230's

    or 230 brown notes ;-)

  • Shane calls a 2 stringer a Chugger?

    • I Chugger would be appropriate, but was not sure whether you can apply chugger to a bass or at least like instrument, it reminds more of the 2 String CB Bass Gitty put out a while ago

  •  I would call them "delightful".

    Got a sound file?
    • Delightful, I like that, No sound bite I'm afraid, I lack sufficient equipment for a decent one and I am yet to run either of them through my Mustang amp yet.

      •  I think that I know what you mean. I have had to put a few projects on hold. Guess I pushed a little hard and had a lot of arthritis flare-ups lately for my efforts.

         Keep on chuggin' on!

         Cheers!
