Some of you may remember when salted cod came in a little slide top wooden box. Have any of you made anything with these boxes (diddly bows, amps, etc.)?

Does salting the box improve its sound over an unsalted box? lol
I make a one string lever bass out of one, it was pretty cool I think, I gifted it to the bass player in my band at the time. See if I can find a pic to post.
Actually I think this was a smoked salmon box, but I figure it is the same idea. Has a piezo inside too and weed wacker line.
