  • Leo Fender said that he angled the bridge pickup toward the bridge on the treble string side to mimic the tone of Slide/Steel guitars that were popular in the 50's.

  • Benny, basically an angled pickup takes out the boomy effect of the bass strings so that the treble strings cut through better?
