I found these padded Gun bags for sale on Ebay, an inexpensive alternative to flight cases - each bag is £19.95 including postage, 45" x 12" , two separate sections in each bag, each big enough for one guitar so one bag will hold two CBG's, and a number of small pockets for slides, cables etc., and an address label pocket. (-:

  • There are allso slightly smaller ones for bows.
  • Hi.

I got a Crossman Ratbag (36 x 9.5), made for the Ratcatcher air gun for £15ish and a Swiss Arms bag (39 x 12) for £20. The Ratbag has a sheepskin like lining (for a warmer tone). I got both of these from a firm called Dowlings Outdoor sports. They are a couple of miles from me and were rather amused when they found out what I was using them for. I also got an ABS Gun Guard case on eBay for 99p, but that's not so easily repeatable.

  •    I use dulcimer gig bags,  myself.  The ones from Black Mountain Instruments are @ 34" x 12" ,  and

easily fit the average cbg .  If this is to small ,  Folkcraft makes a larger one .

  • I've used paintball gun envelope-style bags, the short ones.  Great fit, but no extra pockets on the ones I found.  Like this:

  • I did buy one, the bags are long at 45 inches, my longest guitar (EKO) is not much less than that and fits nicely, the second compartment is shorter and my Sheriff build fitted in comfortably, obviously it does not offer the same protection as a hard case, i'll just have to be careful! (-:

  • I've been looking at this sort of thing for a while, but generally most are rather long..some of the bags for airsoft/paintball guns are a bit better sized..anybody actually bought one? I've been pretty happy with the bag I bought from Tony at Boxstock...
