Getty rod piezo mounting

New here and just finished my first build 3 stringer and an amp. I hot glued the rod on neck by laying a bead and laying the rod into it, not working, pulled it out and thumped it rod is good, so how do you all mount these rods????? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tom

    305784642?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024best way to use a rod piezo is in a bridge with a saddle on top...they work best with string pressure on it

       You don't mount it to the neck. In most cases, you get good results by glueing it to the underside of the lid,

       under your bridge...

      Thanks, as it has the 90 in the end of it, i glued it on the underside of lid on neck under the bridge. I was thinking that the way i glued it on a bead cushioned it to much???? Grabbed a Radio Shack piezio an screwed it on an no problem. just don't want to waste rod... thanks
