Hi,

Just had a quick ( ? ) look at the fiirst 75 pages of the gallery and i must say that i was blown away by the quality and sheer creative genius of the designs and instruments featured !

You guys 'n' gals are remarkable in what you have produced, i just hope that when i've built my own interpretation of a CBG that it will be worthy of being added to the gallery.

Thanks for all your inspiration which has motivated me to start my very first build.

Best Wishes,

ian drury, norfolk, uk.

Well, when you upload a photo to your profile, it gets automatically added to the gallery, so, yeah. Wish granted :)
The gallery is great, and many questions could be answered just by looking thru all 1608 pages, tip for newbies, browse the photos!

hi, i agree with your comment...looking at photos gives you a good idea of what the main parts are and do, but as i've never as yet seen one properly or held one ,pix will have to do at the moment.

lastly is there any difference in a CBG for a leftie/ southpaw like me to consider ?

any info greatly welcomed !

thanks,

ian drury......no, not that one !

Build a Diddley Bow first , then there's no difference between a leftie or a right handed one there....
For a lefty just make sure the box label faces the right way (right way is up to you) and put the strings on reversed from a righty.
Otherwise, unless as a lefty you know something I don't building would be the same only backwards (or are mine backwards?)

as they say in some circles...left is best !
and lets not forget that lefthanded people are always in their right minds ! LOL ;)

i think i've found a suitable box to base my own CBG on........a small whiskey case...just got to empty the contents !

'scuse me while i open the first bottle!

Be true to the box, and the box will be true to you...that is the ZEN of it. CHEERS!
