Thanks for the advice. The great thing I have learned from everybody on these builds is you can go in a lot of directions with the customization.

Hi, to get a better break angle over the bridge with the neck over the body style of cbg this what I have done.
Remove material from the portion of the neck from the bridge area to the tail end. In effect ramping it so that the strings meet their anchor point (the holes in the tail)lower down, creating a slightly steeper string angle.
Taff

I forgot to add this, if you’re action is low, a thicker walled slide will bog the string down on the frets? If you use a thin walled slide, thin like copper pipe, it’s easier to play on a lower action?

Hi Patrick, another tip that may save drama later is this.

When you plan your build ensure that the bridge is at least 1/2” or more high for the slide set up, and angle or position your neck so as to get the action height you want.

This so that if you lower the strings as BrianQ suggests, you will still have a decent break angle to the tailpiece.

If you start off with, say a 3/8” bolt and you lower that, you may not have enough down force on the bridge due to lack of break…

Simply you can increase the size of the Bolt that’s used for the Nut & lift the Bridge, that will help you get more clearance? Just make those 2 things higher on the next one, if you don’t like it, you can always lower them? Cheers :)
