I have been wanting to try a ceramic slide to see how it sounds verse the aluminum one I have been using.  We have the equipment to make them so I decided to give it a try.  This is a pic of the 1st batch, The bad news is only a few of the biggest ones fit my ring/small finger.  The bulk of the batch turned out to be ring size 6.5 or about 0.670"ID.  They range in length from 1-1/4" - 2-1/4".  If anyone here would like to give these a try (and your finger is small enough to wear it) send me a message.  You pay the postage (small flat rate box $5.75) and I will give you up to 3 slides for free.  Get-em while they last.  Please specify which slide you would like in your message.  Dan

Ahh, now I see the shipping rates.   Good!   I used to have a similar slide and liked it.   Carried it in my pocket to an event and pulled it out cracked.

Tracking info says mine should be here today!

Just got them. Thanks for the bonus shorty. Funny thing is it's the one that fits and feels the best. Nice little pieces of art.

Dan if you should ever make a future batch and have one that's 18mm (I.D.) x 40mm long (stubby) I would gladly pay you for it - along with the shipping. Congrats ... "Your Officially in The Slide Making Buisness".

I'll keep that in mind Chris.

Dan~

Received #s 6 & 28 today, and they're exactly the lengths and ID I was hoping for!

NICE work; you've got a customer here!

Thank you, Sir!

Got my Dan Mullen Slides in the mail today and all I can say is WOW! Love em! I normally wear mine on my ring finger and have wanted to try a pinky slide but did not have one. I have 3 really nice pinky slides now thanks to Dan  :-)

I took them out to the cabin tonight and gave them a test drive and they are FANTASTIC!

Like Jim said if you make more in the future you will have another customer here, great job Dan and THANK YOU!

Dan,

Thought I'd come up with a great name for your new ceramic slide line - Mudslides - but apparently, both moonshine slides.com and Dunlop porcelain slides use the term for individual ceramic slide items. But feel free to use it if you want. Maybe The Mullen Mudslide?

Thanks for the thoughts Oily.

I thought about a name for the slides while I was making them, but the process for applying a name to the outside of the slide without making it rough is a real pain.  I've named my guitars "Old Ash" CBG's so I guess the slides will be an "Old Ash Slide".  I like the name, it almost describes me (just sub a "s" for the "h").

Got mine Dan, BIG thanks, real pretty. One of the short ones fits the top of my ring finger and I can be a little more accurate if I want to just slide on one string, and as Mad Dog commented I now have a pinky slide also, very cool!!!

Picked up my slides today Dan, there're perfect. The bonus slide was a nice surprise too,

they all fit my pinky like they were custom made!

Cheers!

got the slides  man  ,,  great  stuff    ,  thank you  ;-)
