Hey Friends,

My band, Trouble with Maggie, has a new Facebook page with some live recordings for free download.

     http://www.facebook.com/pages/Trouble-with-Maggie-Band/168513223168532

We'd like to get some quick Facebook likes to help us in getting some gigs.  Hope you enjoy.  I'm playing the CBG on Walkin' Blues and Sweet Roll.  I wrote Sweet Roll, One More Shot of Blues and Water Sign.

Cheers,

-Mad Dog

  • Thanks for the comments, Steve.  I think Sweet Roll was a little muddy because it was recorded during a practice.  That is the only song where I didn't keep the whole thing.  There are actually a couple more verses, before and after, that I usually sing, but there was talking over it so I left them out.

    Regarding Suzy Q, you're not the first person to say that.  We hail from Ithaca, where sexual preferences are pretty diverse and open.  The ambiguity of the song sung by a woman is something we were shooting for.  :0

  • Hi mr, Mad Dog...better be careful in case i get bitten (-;

    Liked One More Shot of Blues,  though the song is really lifted by the lead guitar solos - let 'em rip!, Sweet Roll  sounded a little muddy, not sure if this was intentional,  working on a very similar song to Walkin' Blues myself, typical standard Blues sounds great! Suzy Q was very good but to be honest would suit a male lead vocal more comfortably imho.

    Best wishes Steve T.

  • REALLY liked it. Thanks for the downloads. Will spread the word. There wasn't a bad song there!
  • Cool.  Thanks!
  • I like it!  Especially One More Shot of Blues
  • Thanks so much.  People got up and started dancing at our last gig when we played that one, which made me feel good.
  • Okay, I just finished listening. Great stuff. I made sure to pay particular attention to the originals. I really liked "One More Shot of Blue."
  • Thanks much!
  • Really nice music, I like it and I "liked" it, sharing the word too.
