Are you sure your not think of a mini humbucker, that is pretty flat and works well on cbg's. And I have seen them sell as cheap as $15.00 on ebay.

Well, hell I guess it IS a mini-humbucker. (what do I know? . . . I'm mostly an acoustic dude.)

got them for $19.00 on ebay just remove the neck mounting piece, suppose to be easy to remove.

Ive never encountered this style, so enlighten me. Whats with the tab on one side and how is that supposed to mount?

There are two styles of mini humbuckers. One tab type mounts under the pick guard of a guitar. The other style has tabs on both sides for conventional mounting. the mini humbucker is the same size as P-90s. The tone is somewhere between a single coil and a full humbucker but with less output than a humbucker.

I bought a China Jazz Pickup last year... it was good for 10 bucks until I replaced it with a real Gibson Humbucker in my Texas Electric... Made me Cry..... almost
