Fixing tacky linseed oil finish

I got impatient and added too thick a layer of linseed oil based finish to my neck and now it will not dry and has been tacky for a week. Is it possible to mix some turpentine with Japan drier and wiping it on in order to increase drying time?

Whrn my linseed oil is dry I'm going to add a coat of glossy oil based lacquer. Will this give me any problems?

Sand it off. It won't dry properly. You shouldn't need to add a glossy oil based lacquer if you add multiple thin coats of linseed oil, sanding lightly between each one.
