Finally Finished first 6 string... but think staying with 3 & 4 stringers

After make (20) 3 string cbg I finally wanted to make a 6 string one.  Finally finished my first 6 string CBG but after the long time it takes to make them I think I'm going to stay making the good old 3 and 4 string cbg.  I had some much more work I had to do for this thing to work that I feel I can produce more 3 and 4 string cbg in far less time and complications.  In the future I might try again and make another but for now......3 and 4 stringers for me.

Here are some pictures.

Awesome job!

Yea, they are a lot of extra work, but that one turned out nice!

Looking good...Im on the same tip...I'm making one for myself and later this year ima make one for my future brother in law. He's just learning the electric guitar.

Thanks everyone, yea it didn't turn out half bad.  I just spent a little more money on making this one look nice compared to what i normally spend on a cbg plus it took me almost twice as long to make.

I know i'll be doing another in the future but for now back to 3-4 stringer.

looks real nice! what were some of the problems you encountered?

Not alot of problems just took twice to three times as long to make.  Getting all the interior wood correct heights, correct area to place things, lot more measuring, tons more then a normal cbg, adding the neck was way different than a 3-4 string cbg then comes the cost.   I wanted it to look much nicer so I paid a little more for the plate, tailpiece, pickup, heads, etc.  Want it all to be gold color to match, etc so more money went into making it.

Really pretty  and looks like you used some expensive hardware too, great job.
