Here's a few pics of my latest brain cramp: "DAS BEASTE". It's half ukulele and half 3 string guitar. Each unit has it's own circuitry via a 6 post switch. I made the decals on the front. The Model A sets in a field over towards Indianola and Norwalk, Iowa.
Do believe I got the Gitty Bomb pick-up cover's decal pretty well aligned. I made the uke neck, bridges, and the wiring from scratch. 8 different kinds of wood used and unfortunately, the old barb wire totally dissolved in apple cider vinegar stain turned all the oak an ebony black!

  • Kool, in the 50’s, Mosrite made a double-neck for Joe Maphis that had a Mando on top & Guitar on bottom that he used to record with?

  • Hunh.   Nylon 4 and metal 3.   Makes sense.   Different colored necks on a double header.  It works.  Love the old  Model A. Great looking and versatile as heck build.

  • Hi, that's a neat idea, looks really good.
