A few years ago I was a t a local strip mall. A guy was walking down the sidewalk with 3 "cases" on a hand truck. I said "watcha got?" He said he was taking them to the dumpster. That it was a reel to reel 2 track recorder. This was in with the 3.

Here are two shots of the tubes glowing. Not good shots but "warm" nonetheless. ;) The smell it puts off reminds me of my childhood. :) Mom and dad had a tube powered amp with a turntable running through it.

It is an all tube amplifier. Most stereos I've seen have a stereo amp in a box, and then two non powered speakers in boxes. This goes with the two track reel to reel recorder. The recorder has an amp and a speaker, and this box has an amp and a speaker. I did some research and apparently I have a 50 watt tube amp. It has a 1/4" input for a mic which of course accepted my instrument cable plugged into my CBG. I ran a rat (distortion) pedal in line with the CBG before the amp. It sounds great playing rhythm with a mild distortion! Here it is in action...
