Ever noticed that sawing a wooden hanger in half gives it a perfect shape for a ukulele neckpiece ?. I use three halves glued together, with a fretboard on top and voila! 

As far as tuners go, chinese chopsticks are marvelous friction tuning pegs.

    • Thanks. It is funny how these ideas hit you in the head when you are thinking about something else.  Like a boomerang you tossed and forgot to retrieve.
