Hi everyone, so I've built a few guitars myself, as well as my friend that I'm currently deployed with. I'm trying to throw him a curve ball as well as give him a great Christmas present. If you have any information on how to get a Cigar Box guitar or supplies to make one (as we are limited out here), I'd appreciate all the help you can give!

Where are you guys deployed? I would be tempted to send you a couple cigar boxes, but I'm not certain I could afford the shipping charges.
They are usually prohibited from saying where they are for security purposes. However, as long as the address is an APO or FPO address, shipping via the US Postal Service is considered domestic, and is pretty cheap. I send CBGs in a 3 foot long box all the time, and the shipping is under 15 bucks.
I suppose my question would be, does she have tools to build a CBG?
According to the guy who sells the kits, you only need a cordless drill, a couple of small drill bits and a screwdriver.
Might be best to send one that is already built, but maybe she wants to build it herself.
I am hoping she will have time to respond, and let us know.
