The Blind Owl gets a CBG he wanted 45 years ago. (Video Link)

Tim Greenhalgh has been working with Larry "The Mole" Taylor of the legendary Woodstock Blues Band Canned Heat, to create a tribute guitar for the late Alan "The Blind Owl" Wilson.  45 years ago in 1968, Alan said in an interview with Phil Spiro of The Broadside of Boston, how important it was for the band to get a One-string electric.. Alan was familiar with an old Blues player named One-String Sam who played a one-string guitar from the same tradition of Cigar Box Guitars that the Delta Blues was partially bred on.. Alan knew the tradition, but he never got the guitar. The Blind Owl passed away in 1970, and the world experienced a great loss at that moment. Tim presented the one-string electric guitar to Canned Heat at the Rock "N Blues Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 27th, ,2013.  Just click on the link at the top to see the full story.
