CBG antler nut

Has any one used reindeer antler for the nut and is it any good? I acquired some in the week (no not from Rudolph) and before I chop it up I wondered if anyone had used it!

Best if you can get the antler part that comes off the skull cap...that where it`s the hardest. If you can get any of the bone from the legs that woud be alot better for nuts and bridge saddles.

I think some folks have used antler before, not sure if it was reindeer or not. If I recall, you need to use the harder outside portion, the inside being too spongy and porous.
