Just ordered 2 of these, so easy to wire, sounds sweet, thanks CB Gitty. On a side note, everything I've ordered from Gitty has been top notch, fretwire, tuners, strings, piezo transducers, if you order from them you won't be disappointed, ships super fast too. Without getting too much brown on my nose gotta say topnotch.

  • Sorry the last message was garbled.  I meant to say that the soldering was a challenge for me and I learned to be very careful with a hole saw.  It didn't help that the box was small, but it was cool-looking.  The sound is not bad.  I t makes a good practice amp,  Everything from Gitty was good, as usual.

Dave, you need to be able to solder, the amp circuit is already put together, but you'll be soldering the speaker, jack, volume knob, led, etc. They are pretty easy, and you get detailed info with the amp kit. If you decide to build one, put up pics.

  • Thanks very much.  I'll be soldering in the next few days and we'll see what happens.

The ground on those jacks is the one that is (slightly) shorter. So black to the shorter one, red to the longer one, and bingo!
  • i've built about 10 with this circuit and have only had 1 that had a bad switch and didn't work

  • Thanks Brent, glad they worked out for you! I have to say these little amp boards have really impressed me. I don't know of any easier way to build an amp with better sound!
  • I just got a kit, and the only thing that confuses me is the wiring for the input jack.  I'm thinking red wire to the short terminal, ground to the long one.  Is this right?
  • Will do
